Golfer’s elbow, also known as medial epicondylitis, is a condition characterized by pain and inflammation on the inside of the elbow. It is caused by repetitive or forceful movements of the wrist and fingers, typically seen in golfers but can also occur in other activities such as tennis or weightlifting. Symptoms include pain, weakness, and difficulty gripping objects. Treatment may involve rest, ice, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and in severe cases, corticosteroid injections or surgery. Proper technique, equipment, and conditioning can help prevent golfer’s elbow.
